In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming an increasingly important tool in helping organizations improve efficiency, communication, and decision-making. Recognizing the growing impact of AI on people management, Assessment Analytics, Inc. (AAI) recently conducted the webinar, “AI in Human Resources: Practical & Ethical Use of GenAI for HR Professionals,” last May 21, 2026, as part of its continuing complimentary learning sessions in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The session featured Shamane Tripolca, Head of Operations at Techedify, Inc. and an HR practitioner with extensive experience in HR consulting, competency assessment, and talent development.
The webinar explored how Generative AI (GenAI) is reshaping HR practices by supporting tasks such as creating job descriptions, drafting employee communications, enhancing learning support, and improving process efficiency. Throughout the session, participants were reminded that AI should be used as a “draft partner” rather than a decision-maker, with human judgment, accountability, and ethical responsibility remaining central to all HR processes.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of responsible AI use, particularly in relation to the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012. Participants were encouraged to practice caution when handling sensitive employee and candidate information and to ensure that data privacy and confidentiality remain protected at all times.
To make the discussion more practical and relatable, the session presented several workplace scenarios involving resumes, employee feedback, and internal investigations. These examples helped participants better understand where AI can effectively support HR work and where direct human intervention remains necessary. The webinar also highlighted emerging HR competencies that are becoming increasingly important in the age of AI, including AI literacy, prompt fluency, data hygiene, ethical reasoning, and change facilitation.
The session concluded with practical techniques for creating more effective AI prompts using the R-T-F-C framework — Role, Task, Format, and Context — providing participants with a simple and structured approach to applying AI tools more effectively in the workplace.
The webinar provided valuable insights for HR professionals and business leaders seeking to better understand both the opportunities and responsibilities that come with integrating AI into the workplace. As organizations continue to adapt to rapid technological change, sessions like these aim to help professionals use AI in a practical, ethical, and people-centered way.
